The first quarter of 2022 has just closed. I wanted to look back at my plans for the year and update you on my progress.
At the beginning of the year, I shared that I wanted to have more balance for this year. We are 3 months into the new year and this time has been largely a success with a few areas of growth and opportunity.
FAMILY AND FRIENDS:
I’ve spent alot of time reconnecting with family and friends and it has been fulfilling. While we have experienced more losses, we have also welcomed new ones to the family. It has been wonderful catching up, which also includes converts with the kids and overnight field trips.
Some highlights from this quarter was a girl’s weekend trip with some friends that I’ve known since elementary school. It was great catching up and just hanging out with one another.
I also got to spend a long weekend with the hubby in New York City. We had such a great time.
Spring break was amazing! We headed out to Branson MS for several days and had a good time catching shows along with exploring the city. I’m typically in busy season during this time and haven’t had a true Spring break in years with the kids. It was nice to catch a quick break and spend time with them. It’s been a busy 1st quarter of travel and I’m looking forward to more in the coming months.
PERSONAL GROWTH
I’ve spent alot of time reflecting and really focusing on my physical and mental health. I can definitely see a lot of positive changes with the little changes I’ve made. I’m also working out more. I discovered Barre 4 years ago and I’m truly hooked. I love that it is an activity that I can grow old with. Seeing women in their 60s and 70s at the studio gives me so much life.
I’ve committed to reading several books this year. Read my blog post about 10 books to read in 2022. Reading is a favorite pass time, but I haven’t done alot in the last couple of years. I’m excited to get back into the groove.
One area I’m working hard on is going back to creating balanced meals daily for my family. It gets hard to juggle it all, but I’m not giving up on the process.
BLOG AND LIFESTYLE
I shared with you my desire to pare back on time consuming projects. While this has been a success, I’m in a season of change and am currently working on refining my content and figuring out the direction of my journey with ScotsHill House. I’ve not been as consistent as I planned. However, I’m excited about the changes coming soon and can’t wait to share them with you.
One area of focus in 2022 is organization. My first big project of the year is still a work in progress. I was hoping to have it finished by the beginning of March. With my demanding schedule, it’s looking as if it will be complete by the end of May.
Some small wins include finally cleaning out my guest bedroom and organizing my work space. I can’t wait to bring you along on more projects.
All in all, the first quarter has been a great time to reflect and build. I’m looking forward with a sense of optimism and am excited to share more with you.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
