Today, I’m sharing some inspo on how to make the perfect Valentine’s charcuterie board in time for the season. Charcuterie boards are a favorite of mine as you can serve a variety of good eats without necessarily going overboard. 2020 is already flying by pretty quickly, and I can’t believe it’s almost February. I love celebrating Valentine’s with something special. In the past, we’ve done cookie decorating parties while other years we’ve just had friends over for sweet treats. ... READ MORE »
Tea Party Ideas: A Dream Princess Tea Party
Hello friends, I’m here to share all the information about the princess tea party we threw for our youngest daughter. Our baby girl, like many others, loves all things princesses. For her birthday this year, she asked for a princess-themed tea party. Our family is fond of tea parties; we have them often at home, and my daughter wanted to share one with her friends. With the theme in mind, I began searching for a date that would work with my family’s schedules. By the time we decided, the date ... READ MORE »
My Haven Experience
It's been a bit since I've given an update but just wanted to pop in to share my Haven experience. A friend and I found out about the Haven conference about a year ago and decided it might be a good idea to go since it was an event geared toward our interests. When registration opened up this year, I registered without any hesitation. However a lot has changed since then and I have found myself questioning my why on more than one occasion. As the date grew near, I started getting increasingly ... READ MORE »
IKEA Toddler Kitchen Hack
My daughter had been asking for kitchen for the longest time. We got rid of the play kitchen her siblings used because it had seen better days. I really like the Pottery Barn kitchens but didn’t really want to break the bank. I figured she’d probably use it for about 2 years max. So there was no use splurging on a set that will be gone in no time. After doing a little bit of searching, I decided that the IKEA Duktig Kitchen will be our best option and it is under $100. There are tons of ... READ MORE »
My Quick Donut Bar
We celebrated a birthday earlier this month and decided to do a donut bar for breakfast. It was fairly simple and easy and I'll be doing a DIY post on how you can make your own donut stands for less than $20. The donut bar turned out to be a great hit especially for the kids. I mean who doesn't love a good donut :). The paper flowers were made by my friend and added a great statement piece for the back drop. The pretty grey arch was a a First Mondays find in Canton, Texas and I absolutely ... READ MORE »
STYLING A BAR CART
I decided to get a bar cart a couple of months ago. We entertain quite a bit and I figured it would be the perfect accessory for this purpose. Bar carts can be a great way to add style to your home without breaking the bank. After coming across several options in my day-to-day activities, I knew I wanted either a gold/brass or rattan cart. I know these are two completely different styles but I like to mix it up. Once I figured out what colors I was going for, I went on a hunt. Here are ... READ MORE »
