Hi Friends, today I am sharing my Christmas Tablescape and sharing a few tips for Christmas table décor this yuletide season. I love a good Tablescape and never miss a chance to decorate for the holidays.
For this season, I wanted to have lots of greens to compliment my neutral palette. You can also see my full holiday home tour here. First piece was a linen table runner that I have used over the years. I used a mix of cedar and eucalyptus faux garlands to create a lush bed of greens down the center.
Candles are a good staple for Christmas table décor, every meal just looks and feels better with some candlelight. They can be incorporated in form of candlestick holders, a centerpiece such as this one that I made a couple months back or hurricane jars. This time I used hurricane jars and had some lanterns on the sideboard to add some additional lighting options.
The place setting was simple using our everyday white plates. I typically use neutrals for my dinner plates and bring in color and other elements with salad plates, napkins etc.
I pulled out my gold flatware to add some pop and shine the Christmas table décor. There are so many different options with flatware these days that you can use them as a statement piece. I have the staple colors of silver, gold and black but there are tons of variations available.
The napkins are one of my favorites, I like the fringe detail and love to use it every chance I get. The napkin rings are an unusual pairing given the season, but it is understated and pairs well with the flatware.
Serve ware is also a good way to add pops of color and statement pieces to your Christmas table décor. My serve ware complimented the neutral colors of the place setting this year.
Adding décor to your sideboard is also a great way to incorporate your theme. This could include decorating with your food creations or adding a few elements to tie into the space. This year was simple to accommodate our food platters. I added a bowl of pinecones, lanterns and tabletop trees leaving enough space for our food dishes.
Since completing this space, I keep the wall décor to a minimum. The accent wall is the focal point of this room. This DIY Grapevine Wreath ties into the theme and love how it complements the space.
Here are more pictures of my Christmas table décor.
Thank you for following along and happy decorating.
