Hello all and welcome to my 2021 Fall Home Tour!
I love the sound of autumn and have always used that term until I set roots in Texas. Fall is one of my absolute favorite times of the year. Not only is it pumpkin spice season, but it’s also my happy place between the hot summer and the cold winter months.
I have been slowly transitioning my color palette in my home to include more colors. While I still love a neutral palette, I love how a pop of color can instantly add some interest to a space. You can see some of my other tours on my home tour link.
As you all know, blue is one of my favorite colors for decorating. I incorporated some elements of the shade while embracing all the warmer colors that say fall.
THE FRONT ENTRANCE
I am all for making simple updates that transition a space from season to season. The front entrance now has an upgraded wreath and mat.
THE FOYER
For the foyer, I brought in darker and warmer colors with the addition of the vase and accessories. The bench next to it has some updated pillows and a throw.
DINING ROOM
In the formal dining area, I kept it similar to the summer look and just updated a few pieces on the side board and olive branches.
The rust colored vase and hydrangeas add just the right touch for fall. The olive tree stays year round and I love how it grounds the space.
living room
Next, is the the living room. I kept a lot of the same elements from summer and spring. I updated the pillows, coffee table accessories, and a few other pieces.
The fire place had the same transition, which included a few changes to bring in warmer colors. The side tables have gotten some updates as well with the incorporation of new pieces.
I am not huge on decorating with pumpkins, but I do include them in from time to time. I love how these glass ones add a touch of elegance and still fit with the autumn vibe. Also, I love this decorative pitcher that can be used year round. It really fits in well with my fall space.
kitchen
I love decorating my kitchen, but I like to keep things practical since it is the heart of the home. I have a great love for cooking and my cookbooks don’t just serve as cute décor.
The wreaths have been updated. The counter top vase is a statement piece and one of my favorites. Adding some fall stems, a candle, and compote bowl with artichokes rounded out the look.
master bedroom
The little hallway that leads to the bedroom is in need of some changes. I hope to share more details soon.
I am still loving my bedroom makeover. If this is your first time here, take a look at my master bedroom reveal.
The pillows and throws were updated for the season. I picked up the rust-colored accent pillows last season and love how they add a pop of color to the space.
The larger pillows are also a find from last season. It is important to me to shop my home and give spaces new life with old finds.
I kept the nightstands simple with a plant and some books. The seating area has a nice pop of blue to complement the other colors in the space. I often find myself sitting here in the morning for devotion and enjoying a cup of tea.
