Holiday Home Tour – Simple, Elegant, Neutral, Classic

December 29, 2020

Hey Friends!! Today I’m taking you through our holiday home tour. This year has been one for the books. When I started planning for our home tour, I wanted something that would reflect simplicity but still be elegant..

As you all know by now, I like neutrals a lot and have started adding a bit more color to my home. The beauty about starting out with a neutral pallet is that you can go in almost any direction with your accent color choices. My color themes this year’s Holiday Home Tour were blues, reddish brown and lots of greenery as usual.

Starting out at the entry way. I used this gorgeous wreath and I like the simplicity of it. The blueberry detail adds just the right flair.  I kept it minimal by adding these mini trees that I picked up at my local grocery store. I have talked about starting a garden someday and hoping to keep these beauties alive but don’t hold me to it 😊.

The door mat I picked up a couple months ago and I love that I can use it year-round. The lanterns are a constant and add a classic touch.

Just beyond the door is my entryway. I added a wreath to the mirror.

The artwork adds some cool elements of winter and holiday with the colors. The baskets have to be one of my favorite finds this year. They are sturdy and well made.

The deer are also a favorite of mine from last year. I will be using these for years to come.

Moving on the dining, I added this mirror as the focal point. I love that it is versatile and can fit most decorating styles. The table was decorated with a ton of greenery. I will have a more in-depth post about the details but I love the way it turned out and can’t wait to sit down to our Christmas meal.

The hallway has a seating area with a bench, I just added some neutral pillows and navy throw.

Our master bedroom entry got a little love with some tabletop trees and a wreath.

Style Tip: I like to use a mix of fresh and faux greenery. It is budget friendly way to decorate during the holidays as good faux greenery tends to be pricier.

The stairway garland was made of fresh cedar and pine and decorated with ribbon. I kept it simple this year as well.

The wall next to the staircase has my DIY wreath and our advent calendar.

The star of the show in the living room is the tree. I love a simple tree with a minimal ornaments and this year I added white and clear icicles and snowflake ornaments. The evening glow is divine.

Beyond the tree is the fireplace, which I will include additional detail in another post. I used faux greenery for my focal pieces and love the way it turned out.

Our coffee and side tables got some sprucing up with a mini trees and gold accessories.

Keeping with the theme color theme, the throw pillows and blankets were a mix of neutral, blue and brown.

The decorated our sofa table with some more gold accessories and these beautiful ornaments.

Our bar cart also gets alot of use during the holiday and love to dress it up.

The kitchen décor was kept simple with a wreath on the hood and few trees and this gorgeous brass looking wreath on the counter that a picked up a couple of years ago.

The deer head is another favorite find this year. It just really cool and different.

Our nook was a modern dream. I decked it out with the color palette and added some black flatware and plates to pop against the white table.

I especially love the place settings with the cedar napkin rings.

Our guest room got some blue throw pillows, some more greenery including this fresh gorgeous boxwood wreath from my local grocery store.

This rounds out our holiday tour for the year. I hope you enjoyed my Holiday Home tour. Hope you have a wonderful time with family and friends. Happy Holidays….
