Hey There!!! It’s week 4 of the One Room Challenge. Boy, oh boy! It’s been a challenge to get anything done this week. If this is your first time here, I’m working on a tween room update for my daughter, you can catchup up on weeks one, two and three.
I came down under the weather which has happened a few times after an extremely busy season at work. I didn’t make as much progress as I’d hoped. So here’s what I got done.
One Room Challenge || Light Fixture
Finally got the light fixture up. I DIY’ed this without the help of the hubs. This is huge for me because I don’t do anything electric. I’m probably going to use a shorter pole but I’ll decide that next week. It’s up and I’m so happy with the way it turned out. My daughter is happy too! She loves her new “chandelier”.
One Room Challenge || DIY Sunburst Mirror
Finishing up the Sunburst Mirror this week. I’ll have a DIY blogpost soon. We had a pretty memorable experience painting this over the weekend. I decided to get my spray tent up in the yard. It worked for the first 2 hours, then a huge gust of wind uprooted it from it stakes and it ended up on the other side of the yard. I wish I had footage of my daughter and I trying to tame the raging tent :). Happy to report that there was no damage but always check the wind levels before using. We apparently had wind gusts between 32-36 mph on Sunday. Definitely not a good time to put up a tent ;).
One Room Challenge || Drapes
I also got a chance to hang up her drapes. The curtain rod has to be one of my favorite finds. I love the finials on it. They give it that perfect bit of extra to complete the look.
One Room Challenge || Week 5 Plans
Plans for week 5 include finishing her dresser and night stand. I’m in the early stages of this project but excited about it. I’m hoping to share soon.
I’ll also be hanging up the mirror and some art work. The plan is to get majority of the loose ends finished up in week 5. So we’ll see how it goes.
If you would like to see other projects in the One Room Challenge you can see them here.
Thank you for following along and see you next week.
