Hi Friends,
It’s week 7 of the One Room Challenge. I honestly cannot believe we have just 1 week left. When I planned this project, I just knew in my heart that I would be done at least 2 weeks early. Who was I kidding!!! So thankful for the extra time we have been given because I need it all.
If you haven’t been following along, you can catch up on updates on the weekly links below.

Project Updates:
Wainscoting and Trim:
My chair rail finally arrived and I was able to install it and start on the box trim .
Sharing one of the inspo pictures.
I would have started prior to chair rail arriving but experience has taught me that measuring is key. Without the chair rail, it would be shooting in the dark on spacing for both sections on the main wall. I spent the weekend cutting and measuring and installing. I am so happy with the way it is all coming together.
Wallpaper:
After searching high and low and ordering different samples. I chose a peel and stick that looks like grass cloth. The skim coat project was a pretty messy and I did not want to deal with wall paper adhesive. The beauty of this project was that it was relatively easy to install and I was able to re-touch areas that needed a do over.
Caulk and Paint:
This is the last major project to complete and I plan on starting that today. If you have followed me, I love to build but don’t love the process of painting but ready to tackle this like a champ.
Accessories:
I have been collecting and upcycling stuff around the house. I also shared a quick DIY tutorial on the “found” pot process on Instagram. I will be sharing a tutorial soon. Here are progress shots for some of the items that I believe will go in this space. You can never truly tell how things will fit until you put it all together.
I ordered a faux tree as well and hoping that it gets here on time. Fingers crossed!
I will also be painting a red terracotta pot that I got from my local home improvement store to match the décor. Hoping to use this will the tree.

It’s all so beautiful!! It’s really coming together! Best of luck in this home stretch!
It’s looking great! Here in Florida we have the awful orange peel walls, too. What a lot of work that was to skim coat them. I look forward to the reveal next week.
