Hey There! It’s Week 4 of the One Room Challenge. This week I will be bringing you up to date on my projects that I have been working on. Thank you for following along, you can also catch up on all the updates here.
We are currently at the halfway mark and can’t believe I still have a lot to do. One of the things I have come to love about this challenge is that it pushes me to new levels. I am thankful to the entire ORC team and Better Homes & Gardens for opportunity to share my talents along with other feature and guest participants in this challenge on the ORC Blog.

Project Updates:
Beam Project:
Last week, I talked about my progress on getting the first beams installed. I ended up taking a break from projects to spend some family time. During this break, I began to think about the spacing of the beams. After much thought and consulting with the hubby and a few friends, I figured out that 6 beams would make it look crowded and decided that 4 will provide the optimal spacing. Alas, the vent issue is not existent now 😊.
Here is a snapshot of where I left off last week.
And here is where we are now.
I am so happy at how it has turned out. Also thankful to my hubby and daughter for being such team players and staying up late into the night to ensure that I completed this part of the project by publishing time. I hope you like it as much as I do.
Wall Trim Project:
I plan to start of this project in the next few days. Final supplies are coming in and I am excited to start on this phase.
Here are some inspo photos for what I would like to do in this space
