Welcome to Week 2 of the One Room Challenge. Thanks for stopping by. I'm working on a tween room makeover for my daughter. If you would like to follow along, you can catch up on Week 1 here. I kept the projects on the simple end this week, as I am currently in my busiest season at work. One Room Challenge || The Polka Dot Wall As mentioned in my prior post, my plan was to get the gold polka dot appliqué on the wall. I wasn't sure what pattern I ... READ MORE »
IKEA Toddler Kitchen Hack
My daughter had been asking for kitchen for the longest time. We got rid of the play kitchen her siblings used because it had seen better days. I really like the Pottery Barn kitchens but didn’t really want to break the bank. I figured she’d probably use it for about 2 years max. So there was no use splurging on a set that will be gone in no time. After doing a little bit of searching, I decided that the IKEA Duktig Kitchen will be our best option and it is under $100. There are tons of ... READ MORE »

My Quick Donut Bar
We celebrated a birthday earlier this month and decided to do a donut bar for breakfast. It was fairly simple and easy and I'll be doing a DIY post on how you can make your own donut stands for less than $20. The donut bar turned out to be a great hit especially for the kids. I mean who doesn't love a good donut :). The paper flowers were made by my friend and added a great statement piece for the back drop. The pretty grey arch was a a First Mondays find in Canton, Texas and I absolutely ... READ MORE »
STYLING A BAR CART
I decided to get a bar cart a couple of months ago. We entertain quite a bit and I figured it would be the perfect accessory for this purpose. Bar carts can be a great way to add style to your home without breaking the bank. After coming across several options in my day-to-day activities, I knew I wanted either a gold/brass or rattan cart. I know these are two completely different styles but I like to mix it up. Once I figured out what colors I was going for, I went on a hunt. Here are ... READ MORE »
1ST HOME TOUR
Hi friends, I thought it will be a great idea to give you a tour of what our first home looked like. This home has a special place in our hearts. This is where our journey as homeowners began about 13 years ago. I remember picking out all the options when we built. These floors hold the first footsteps of our babies and the walls could tell you a lot of stories of great times, laughter, fun, sleepless nights while holding precious cargo, wishing for just a few more minutes of shut eye. We ... READ MORE »
