It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Can you believe Christmas is just in a few weeks? Oftentimes, decorating and planning for the holidays can become quite stressful. But there are ways to relieve this stress during the holiday season. Here are some tips that you can follow to have a stress-free Christmas.
Decorating early to enjoy it all season long
It’s always great to plan Christmas early, so you can enjoy your December. Decorating and planning early allows you to have a stress-free Christmas. You can begin buying Christmas decorations at the beginning of November, and start decorating right after Thanksgiving.
Creating a to-do list months in advance is a great way to avoid last minute decorating and planning.
Using a mix of fresh and faux greenery to the mix
Greenery is always a great way to bring a sense of freshness to your home. Wreaths, fresh garland, and a Christmas tree are perfect additions of greenery during the holiday season.
You can place greenery throughout your home. You can make a table runner, place wreaths on doors, and fill vases with other types of greenery. The addition of greenery is the easiest and most festive way to decorate your home.
Change out your sheets and layer to create warmth
During the cold winter season, you want to curl into your bed and hibernate. Changing your sheets and adding layers will help make your bed feel quite cozy.
You can change your thin sheets to thicker ones. In addition, you can add a warm throw blanket. Its important to choose warm materials if you want to create warmth.
Set your table ahead of time
Setting the table for Christmas is one of my favorite things to do during the holidays. If you are hosting Christmas parties or get togethers, then your table should be a great focal piece.
You can add ornaments, a table runner, pine cones, candles, and Christmas themed plates to your table. These ideas are perfect if you want your table to be elegant or simplistic.

You can make many different cookies such as gingerbread, sugar, chocolate chip, shortbread, and many more!
Catching up on shows and watching Christmas movies
What better way to get into the Christmas mood, then by relaxing and watching Christmas movies? I love watching classic Christmas movies and catching up on show during the holidays. You can make hot chocolate and curl up on the couch while you are watching a movie, whether alone or with family and friends.
