Today, I’m sharing some budget friendly styling tips for your front door for your door during the holidays.
Decorating your entry is also a fun way to update décor for the seasons. Your front entrance is the first thing that guests see when they come to your home. It should always be an inviting space. You can also check out my full holiday tour here.
I tend to like minimal décor around the holidays. Think lots of natural color and this style extends to the outdoors. I made use of wreaths and trees that I had from past seasons and with a few tweaks, I came up with three different styles.
Always have tons of greenery. For the first look, I used a real mini cedar tree from my local store on the left with my favorite outdoor lanterns to achieve a balanced look. On the right are these cute mini trees that I found for an absolute steal. The bells were originally black but spray painted them with metallic gold to achieve the look I was going for.

For the next look, I paired cedar wreath with the brass bells. The faux trees are also paired together and lanterns anchor the other side. The layering mat I use is neutral and is a year round staple.
For look number three, the live cedar trees flanked the doors, as well as these mini black lanterns. The wreath is a favorite buy this year and definitely look forward using it for years to come.
Here are my go to staples for the front door:
- Potted plants in nice planter
- Faux greens to complement the live plants
- A layering mat
- A door mat that has an inviting phrase
- Lanterns are not necessary but always add a nice touch.
As always. Thank you for stopping by. Happy Decorating!
